Today there is real energy in the air. The Travertine tile work is almost 100% completed. It is amazing. Just can't get over how excited I am about the uniqueness of every piece and every cut.

The kitchen, offie and bathroom cabinets have arrived and are beginning to be assembled. Decisions made over 2 months ago turn out to be REALLY GOOD ONES!!!

The countrast of natural stone, soft white contemporary cabinets and the dark wood panels which surround the refrigerator and microwave are harmonious and yummy.

One of my first material picks were tiny 1" square shell tiles. They surround the bathroom mirrows and will reflect the light from wall-mounted fixtures.

The little "cut-out" affords an very interesting display box where normally there would be a very deep lazy-susan or lost space from the kitchen cabinets. Years ago my little daughter would sit inside a cabinet at my parents' Sanibel home and play for hours in her little "hideaway". I foresee the next generation maybe enjoying this spot likewise.
