This beautiful Egretta Thula is a small active white heron. His yellow feet and long black legs are helpful in identifying him as the "Snowy Egret". This fellow was perched on driftwood washed up on the fine white-sand beach overlooking the Marco River at Big Marco Pass. I met him on May 24, 2010 and am pleased he agreed to sit for a photo. Isn't he beautiful?!
